We made it you guys; we made it through another year in the trenches crawly and gnawing our way out one curve ball after another.
For me, this year sure has been eventful as many of y’all may know and I will spare you the details by not being a repetitive blabbermouth. Looking back at my financially irresponsible purchases I do have a list of things that I would like to share. These are things that I don’t regret buying, yes, I know it’s a trend, and did I already make a TikTok about it before writing this? That’s an answer for me to know and for you to find out and not laugh at me for trying to keep up with the kids.
Let’s start out with a few interior pieces, shall we?
Areaware Bird Mobile by Lucas Boscardin (Duck)
I don’t know what is it about this little device that mimics the flapping of wings when you pull on the string, but it makes me feel super whole and I always feel like I’m opening up some business when I tug on it first thing in the morning.
I was looking for a cute and vibrant side table for my living room (spoiler alert: I like primary colors), and I stumbled upon this little fella. What can I say, super easy to install and it holds so many books as well as my dual-shock charging port.
This offers an alternative solution for those who don’t have enough wall space like me but still would like to showcase your magazine collections, or, can’t afford a full wall shelf (YET!).
Reckless book buying (Anything that catches your eye? Go for it)
Money comes and goes, but there is just this thing about books when you forget what the title is in a split second or it went out of stock in a day or two. Don’t be the kind of people that had to go on ebay to look for something you could’ve bought.
They hold one or two long flowers, they look like kidneys and they are amazing to look at.
I’m probably the last person to own this hoodie and honestly, all I can say is slay the boots down charli xcx mama werk. That means I think it’s really comfy, took me a while to get used to having no pocket but we got there.
I would stop saying slay but I’m in my casual blazer era and this just adds to the fuel. It’s slightly oversized because I got the wrong size but still fits quite nicely. Waterproof and what I really enjoy about Carhartt WIP is: adding that logo feels so disruptive like whoa workwear and blazer? I’m in Texas so I can also keep the people mind-blown because the majority of them still think of heavy-duty workwear.
Beams Blazer
I can’t remember the exact name of this and this is probably already sold out, but this breathable navy blazer from BEAMS TAIWAN is my first step into, IDK, causal suit boy? TAKE IVY style? I’ve been pretty open to trying new things in 2022 I guess.
Perfectly Imperfect Nalgene bottle and top
Signature color from my favorite NL, 1000 ml and it’s officially my workout emotional support bottle. Pro tip: this is the perfect size to make liquid IV with before you go out and get plastered.
This T-shirt is from my homie Jimi and his brand. I’ve always been really picky about self-made shirt’s collars but the blank he chose for his brand is pretty impressive, I constantly felt like I was being choked, just the way I like it.
Band merch
Piggybacking on what I said about books earlier, buy that merch and worry about it later. If you are willing to pay for the ticket you automatically should like them enough to buy their merch; find something you like and just go for it. I personally recommend Mom Jeans and Japanese Breakfast Merch, they cute cute.
Honestly it’s a pretty short list as I’ve been on a haitus of copping but let me know how you feel about me recommending you things! And Happy belated new years! LFG!
